Introducing the ProGauge®
Several custom oral appliances require a bite registration in order to fabricate the device. The ProGauge provides a way to ensure a proper hardware placement and vertical setting of your patient’s appliance.
Which TAP devices require a bite registration?
Our lab requires a bite for dreamTAP and TAP 3 cases. We do not need a bite to fabricate Nylon flexTAP or flexTAP cases, due to the wide range of adjustment (17mm) and no need to switch out parts.
What’s included?
Every ProGauge kit comes with three different sizes of position sliders to provide the ability for the dentist to take a bite registration with more precision based on the patient’s needs.
Sterilization
The ProGauge is a non-sterile product that needs to be sterilized prior to use. The ProGauge is made from an autoclavable plastic and can be sterilized by autoclaving. Use of cold sterilization liquids that are approved for use on dental equipment are also acceptable.* The bite registration fork is for one time use only and not autoclavable. Additional bite forks can be purchased through Airway Management.
